The Managed Care Network (MCN) is an organization specializing in managed care programming, market research, and consultation.  The network is comprised of Pharmacy and Medical Directors from numerous health plans across the country.  The goal of MCN is to provide pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device and biotech companies and those in the health care field with insight and guidance into issues surrounding today’s managed care environment.

I belong to MCN because…

MCN’s comprehensive managed care network harnesses the expertise…

MCN meetings are typically one to three days in length and are held over a weekend…

Based upon your interest, expertise, and available time, the following additional collaboration opportunities…

The MCN compliance committee ensures our full compliance with the PhRMA code on interactions with health care professionals, FDA regulations, and other corporate policies governing ethical business practices.  To that end, each meeting of MCN is focused on informing health care professionals about products, providing scientific and educational information, and supporting medical research and education.

All members hold a written contract with MCN which specifies the nature of MCN’s services and the basis of payment for those services. The legitimate needs for members’ services are clearly identified in advance. Contracts are written on a calendar year basis

Consultant Honoraria, fees and expenses

Consultants are paid an honorarium for services provided to MCN for the full year. The honorarium is consistent with fair market value. There is no entertainment (i.e. golf or spa) or gifts provided by MCN at any of the meetings. The honorarium ensures consultant participation in:

• Scheduled meetings throughout the year
• Guidance inquiries in the form of telephone, fax or web based surveys
• Specific ad hoc consultations throughout the year
